About Our Program

EARLY LEARNING CURRICULUM:

Lots of Cuddles & Care believes in practicing play-based learning in early childhood as a tool for development, exploration, and problem solving. I support children's social, emotional, physical, and cognative growth. I have introduced a variety of different activities to help the children that I care for learn and grow while having fun. I utilize various preschool programs throughout the year. We concentrate on numbers, letters, shapes, colors, pre-writing skills, cooking, music, holidays, and more. I will inform you of your child’s learning, play and meals so you will know what to ask him/her about at home.

We have welcomed the Omaha Fire Department to teach us about fire safety and to let us explore a fire truck. We have also welcomed the Kona Ice truck in the summer for a family event. Stomp, Chomp, and Roar has visited to teach us about dinosaurs and fossils. We enjoy hosting parties such as Vala's Pumpkin Patch party barn, visits from Santa Claus in December, bounce houses, and face painting by Chatterbox the clown. The children love to cook at LOCC. We have made homemade banana bread, pumpkin pudding, homemade applesauce, edible playdoh and much more. We love having special days such as pajama day, movie day, and picnics. We have welcomed programs such as Stretch & Grow, Pots for Tots, and Song Birds Music & Movement to our child care in order to enrich our preschool program. These are just a few things that we have enjoyed over the years. I am always looking for new and educational ideas to bring to my program.

We would love to welcome another friend into our group. I look forward to meeting you and your child.
