EARLY LEARNING CURRICULUM:

I believe in hands-on learning and that is what we practice at Lots of Cuddles & Care.  I have introduced a variety of different activities to help the children that I care for learn, grow and have fun. I utilize various preschool programs throughout the year. A few examples would be: Reach for the StarsMother Goose TimeLil’ Explorers etc. We concentrate on numbers, letters, shapes, colors, pre-writing skills, cooking, music and more, focused around a monthly theme.  I will inform you of your child’s learning, play and meals so you will know what to ask him/her about at home.

We have welcomed the Omaha Fire Department to teach us about fire safety and to let us explore a fire truck. We have been taught how to decorate our own cookies by a cookie designer. We have enjoyed such events as Track & Field day, Pajama day, Movie day, Holiday/Birthday parties etc. The children love to cook at LOCC. We have made homemade banana bread, pumpkin pudding, homemade applesauce, Kool-Aid playdoh and much more.  Twice per year we hold a donation drive for Project Harmony. In the winter months we donate pajamas and have a pajama day with popcorn puffs and a movie. Santa Claus has been known to make a special stop to LOCC during the holidays. In the summer months we hold another pajama day, but we donate blankets and stuffed animals to Project Harmony. Giving to
Project Harmony teaches children how to give back to their community. We have welcomed programs such as Stretch & Grow, Pots for Tots and Song Birds Music & Movement to our child care in order to enrich our preschool program. These are just a few things that we have enjoyed over the years. I am always looking for new and educational ideas to bring to my program.

We would love to welcome another friend into our group. I look forward to meeting you and your child.
